Boiled, Salted Edamame / maodou (Chinese: 毛豆)

Ingredients:

· 1 pound edamame beans (unshelled)

· 7-8 cups water

· 1 tbsp salt

· *additional salt for sprinkling


Wash the edamame well. Boil salted water in a large pan. Add edamame beans and return to a boil. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain the edamame and sprinkle salt over them. Cool slightly and eat.
